Are you sending out Save our Date Cards? Why should I, I hear you ask.
Is your wedding more than 6 – 8 months away?
Is your wedding on a normal working day, either here or where the bulk of your guests originate from?
Are your family and friends from overseas or interstate?
Is your wedding on a public holiday or very close to the Christmas season?
If you answered yes to any of the above then you should send out Save our Date Cards.
What are Save our Date Cards
Save our Date Cards are pretty little things, used to notify your guests of your upcoming wedding.
They are a courtesy thing especially for those who need to arrange travel and accommodation.
The notify your guests that your wedding is on a weekday, and therefore if they need to arrange time off work, you are giving them plenty of notice.
What information do you need on the Save our Date Cards
To make your Save our Date Cards effective, you need to let your guests know the date and the location. It would also be a good thing to let them know about any accommodation near by, especially for those having to travel from interstate or overseas. If you think that your guests will be making a holiday of it, it may also be nice to let them know of any surrounding tourist attractions, this may be on an attachment as it may not need to go to everyone.
If you like the Chaklboard Save the dates above, please pop in to the Normanby House Wedding Expo which is on 29th June 2014 to see them in person.
